Fella Vaughn – 16 & good (feat. Cerebral Vortex)

Wow, I don’t know if you know Kriswontwo…seriously you better do…this guy is one of these producers that you can call a musician without feeling overstating. I did an interview with Kris a while ago when he released his last album. His next release is coming soon (exclusive track in the following).
“Stevie Wonder & Sun Ra!!! Mos Def is also an inspiring artist. Alan Shorter. The Mwandishi directions that Herbie Hancock & Bennie Maupin went in after Bitches Brew is also some jaw dropping stuff. [...] I know a lot of producers brag about making bangers over night, I do that too sometimes but when I can allow myself I like to let the music breath or rest my ears and come back to it later, keeping it in my head. I try to consider the possible directions you could take each track instead of jumping on the first one that comes to mind. Sometimes if you have a good feeling you jump on it though. I try to keep the music as free and raw as I can. [...] Regarding gear… For a long time I’ve been using all kinds of different stuff. I try to learn new instruments and plug-ins every day. I don’t really have anything I like in particular. ”
Here an unreleased track from Kriswontwo’s new productions called “Day of Judgement” featuring Thomas Piper and Johnny Prince.

Damu is one of the illest on the beat in my oppinion. His beats are soulful, atmospheric and absolutely musically. I like his choice of samples and especially how he puts the drums together. In the following a free track, a remix (vocal version) of “The Bright Side” from the “Supply For Demand” EP. Enjoy and have a good weekend!
